the pattern for this hat was designed by lisa anne auerbach and published in knit knit #4. it’s based on the structure of a geodesic dome. here is a picture of the one she knitted, on stealthissweater.com.
unfortunately, i wasn’t thinking about sizing as i knitted, i just followed the pattern and approximate gauge. the result (modelled above by a bottle of grapeseed oil) is way too small for me, so i’ll be passing it on to a small-headed person.
this was knitted in 100% acrylic – “craft spun” 8 ply from geoff’s emporium.
