i love the patterns on knitty.com, and this is the first one i’ve actually tried knitting. these are “voodoo wrist warmers”. the website points out that this is a good pattern for learning knitting in the round, & i decided that sounded like a good thing to learn next. it turns out that it’s really easy and fun.
i’ve made three pairs of these wrist warmers so far – two for me, and one for my little sister.
the first pair was knitted in 100% acrylic – “craft spun” 8 ply from geoff’s emporium.
i made the second pair to match this scarf – they’re also 100% acrylic – panda magnum 8 ply (black) and panda magnum print 8 ply (variegated blue).
the third pair is laura’s – the yellow stripes are “craft spun” 8 ply acrylic, the purple stripes are “venus” v-knit 8 ply acrylic.
